WHO IS DOCTOR GILL?
Dr. Gill is a woman who has strived for excellence throughout her life. She was a teen mother at fifteen. However, that did not stop her from working diligently through the dilemmas of single teen parenting. Dr. Gill has dedicated her life educating herself so that she can educate others.
She beholds a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of New Rochelle in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology. She also beholds a Master’s of Science in Special Education and General Education in grades five through nine from Touro College. In addition, Dr. Gill has earned a second Master’s of Science in Special Education and General Education in Early Childhood at Touro College as well. In continuing her education, she received a Doctorate in Counseling and Psychology at Argosy University. She served on the community school board in Brooklyn, New York for four years. Being committed to education, Dr. Gill is currently a special education teacher in a middle school in Brooklyn, N.Y. for the past eleven years.
Prior to teaching, for ten years she was a Substance Abuse Prevention Intervention Specialist for the Department of Education working with middle school students in the capacity of intervention and prevention groups, teaching life skills, as well as monthly parent workshops. For eleven years, Dr. Gill has dedicated her heart in giving love to woman and children who reside in a shelter. In continuing to be of Service-to-Others, Dr. Gill has developed a program named “Phoenix” for African American males in guiding them through the journey of manhood and to combat the negativity that surrounds them. Dr. Gill also has created an arts and craft program within an afterschool program which allow students to express themselves artistically and creatively.
Dr. Gill continues to assist people while working as a therapist for Autistic children via the Balance Project "Better You, Better Me campaign." Fonder of Phoenix of Brooklyn N.Y. and Head counselor at a Rehab center in Piscataway N.J. Dr. Gill has a passion for assisting and loving others. She is committed to educating children and adults as a clinician.
Dr. Gill has continued to live her life unselfishly to love and to assist others.
